Project Description
Installation of 146,500 concrete sleepers from stockpile to the worksite, 90,000 ton of ballast.
The project included the replacing of 146,500 sleepers, ballast cleaning the existing ballast where necessary, surfacing of the track, weld corrections and rail grinding, final distressing.
Civil works including replacing level crossings, subsoil drainage, embankment widening, drainage through cuttings, manufacture and install head walls on culverts.
Project Outcome
The project was completed on schedule.
